If you ask us, Robola is one of the finest white grape varieties in Greece, with only Assyrtiko (perhaps) ahead of it. Robola's home is Cephalonia, but growers across the country are now planting it, excited by its undoubted quality potential. Robola made by a top producer on Cephalonia is a revelation. The wine can have a stony, Chablis-like minerality, delicate citrus and apple flavours, and great balance. The finest can improve further with bottle age.
